Equestrian Pilates Workshop

Coming soon: Our 3rd Equestrian Pilates Workshop. Keep checking the website for dates and times.

Bring your riding to a new level by enrolling in our Equestrian Pilates workshop!

This 3 hour un-mounted workshop will improve your riding by:

  • Strengthening your core, stabilizing muscles
  • Helping you gain body awareness and an ability to identify muscle
  • Imbalances, tension and compensation patterns that hinder free movement in the rider and thereby restrict free movement in the horse
  • Decrease low back pain
  • Helping to prevent injuries to horse and rider
  • Improving communication with your horse by helping you send clear
  • Signals with your aids
  • Help to sit the trot

The 3 hour workshop begins with a 1 hour Equestrian Pilates Mat class. Following the mat class, each student will receive an analysis of their posture and go through a series of self assessments. The knowledge gained in the postural analysis and self assessments will help the rider recognize and learn how to correct movement patterns, tension in the body and correct the "mixed" signals they send to the horse. The postural analysis will also help each individual rider understand their unique posture and how it affects their riding.

3 hour workshop is $149.00.

A minimum of 6 students is required with a maximum of 8 to insure individual attention to each student.

Mounted sessions are available by appointment after attending the workshop. Mounted sessions are $45 (price may increase due to travel time) for a private session and $40 pp for a semi-private.

Mounted sessions:

A follow up, private or semi private mounted session is strongly encouraged. This is NOT a riding lesson. It is a lesson in bio-mechanics and how it relates to your individual riding skills. It pulls everything together by allowing the student to "feel", while mounted, how their posture, inflexibility, or imbalances in the saddle effect their riding. Each student will receive recommendations on what specific Pilates exercises can help to o correct the issues.
