Suzanne discovered Pilates six years ago . After years of “pound the pavement” forms of exercise, she was grateful to find something that was challenging physically as well as mentally and could be practiced for a lifetime without injury. She pursued her training in Mat and Reformer with Stott Pilates TM. Stott Pilates is best known for developing top Pilates professionals all over the world and for honoring the original teachings of Joseph Pilates. She has logged over one thousand hours of teaching students that range from those new to exercise and seasoned athletes.
In addition to her traditional Pilates training, Suzanne holds a unique certification in Equestrian Pilates. She has been a riding instructor licensed in the state of Massachusetts for over ten years and received her Equestrian Pilates Certification in 2005. She is the only Pilates instructor in New England who is also a riding instructor. This gives her the unique ability to bring Pilates conditioning to equestrians of all abilities and ages, enabling them to reach their riding goals through athletic conditioning and injury prevention.
Although Suzanne specializes in Equestrian Pilates, she has extensive training working with people of all ages, interests and abilities. Many people, male, female, young and old benefit from taking pilates at Equi-librium. No riding experience required!
Suzanne strongly believes that in order to be a great teacher, one also needs to be a student. She trains regularly in her equestrian pursuits and in continuing her pilates education through continued upgrading and embracing the latest techniques offered in ongoing training and workshops. She competes her 2 horses on the local level and lives with her husband and 3 sons.
Classes are offered weekly with Suzanne in several pilates group mat classes, semi-private and private mat and Reformer sessions as well as offering specialized classes for Equestrians. She currently works with students of all ages, abilities and athletic backgrounds. She welcomes you to discover what she discovered in the joy of including Pilates practice to your life!

Suzanne is a member of the Groton House Farm advertising committee 2007/2008.
I am a classically trained Pilates instructor, a Level 1-certified Resistance Stretching instructor and a dressage rider. My expertise is in teaching Pilates and Resistance Stretching to equestrians. My clients range in age from 13 to 70, and include competitive riders with regional and national awards to their credit.
I teach Pilates (mat and apparatus) and Resistance Stretching at my studio in Weston, MA, at the Pilates studio at Cutler Farm Dressage in Medfield, MA, at Roots and Wings Healing Arts in Natick, MA, and in affiliation with Equi-librium Pilates at the Complete Equestrian Saddlery in Bedford, MA. I offer clinics throughout New England.
My students describe me as an enthusiastic and encouraging instructor. I take a biomechanical approach to my teaching and stretching work, concentrating on correct position, and precise, flowing movement. I am influenced by the structural integration work developed by Tom Myers, and by functional movement. I incorporate these theories into my understanding and teaching of Pilates and Resistance Stretching.
My mare Telarana and I train with Kristen Kazmaier at Riverfront Farm in Concord, MA. We also train periodically with her breeder, internationally known trainer, clinician and author Paul Belasik.
